The march to regain Nigeria’s glory has started with the PDP’s success in Osun – Atiku
According to Atiku Abubakar, the People’s Democratic Party’s (PDP) presidential candidate for 2023, the march to recapture Nigeria’s glory has started with his party’s victory in Osun State.
The PDP candidate, Ademola Adeleke, who received 403,371 votes, was proclaimed the victor by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) early on Sunday.
Current governor Gboyega Oyetola of the All Progressives Congress (APC), who received 375,027 votes, came in second.
In a statement released on Sunday, Atiku claimed that the people of Osun State were dear to him for clear reasons.
He claimed that no matter how challenging the circumstances, Osun State’s men and women of courage and shrewd gallantry will never let them down.
He stated that “it shall be on record that Osun State gave the compass towards that brighter future that awaits us at the horizon at this juncture when our country needs to take a breather from the shameful repercussions of bad governance.
