Nigerian troops kill Alhaji Modu, the leader of Boko Haram, along with 27 other members in Borno.

Alhaji Modu, also known as “Bem Bem,” was another Boko Haram terrorist commander who was killed in Borno State alongside 27 other terrorists by Operation Hadin Kai Air Task Force ATF soldiers.

Alhaji Modu, according to information obtained by DAILY POST, was a well-known drug lord and armed robber before he joined the Boko Haram sect.

In Gwoza Local Government Area of the State, a military airstrike near the Mandara mountains resulted in the deaths of the terrorists’ leader and 27 members of his gang.

Military sources confirmed the information and stated that the operation was coordinated in response to reliable intelligence reports that the Islamic State of West Africa Province (ISWAP) fighters had gathered in the region in large numbers in preparation for launching new attacks in some areas.

Alhaji Modu reportedly orchestrated the evacuation of Bama town in 2014, killing hundreds of innocent people before establishing a Boko Haram caliphate there.
