Nigeria: Senate meets with security agencies
Currently, the heads of security agencies are meeting with the Senate leadership.
At the Senate Wing National Assembly Complex on Wednesday, the meeting got under way a few minutes after 2:00 p.m.
Senator Aliyu Wamakko, Chairman of the Senate Committee on Defense, Senator George Sekibo, Chairman of the Senate Committee on the Navy, and Senator Abdullahi DanBaba, Vice Chairman of the Senate Committee on Police Affairs are among the senators present.
The Senate President, Ahmad Lawan, had not yet arrived at the meeting when the report was submitted, despite the fact that he had been seen entering the building 15 minutes before 2 o’clock under heavy security.
The meeting had to be delayed while, awaiting his arrival.
Remember how the opposition parties gave President Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retired) a six-week deadline to end the nation’s insecurity or risk being impeached.
