Nigeria News: ISWAP kill three, abduct others in Katsina
Terrorists attacked Dantsauni village in Katsina State’s Batagarawa local government area and killed three people.
According to a source, the terrorists in their numbers, armed with sophisticated weapons, trapped and killed one of the deceased persons, Abdulrashid Abba Manna, a resident of Katsina, when he went to farm in the morning at Dantsauni village.
According to a source, the attack occurred only three days after bandits attacked the surrounding communities of Babbar Ruga, Kwarin Maikotso, and Kore villages, where they operated freely, killing two people and kidnapping eight others.
The terrorists kidnapped dozens of people, mostly women and children, during the attack on the nearby village of Dantsauni, which is about one kilometer from Babbar Ruga. Meanwhile, hundreds of people were seen fleeing for their lives in the direction of the historic city of Katsina.
According to locals, no security personnel were visible during the terrorists’ over 45-minute operation, which took place in broad daylight, during which they also fired some shots along the Katsina Ring road, which is very close to the city.
When contacted, SP Gambo Isah, the Katsina police spokesman, confirmed the attack and reported one fatality and two injuries.
