Ghana: Adwoa Safo Ignores Privileges Committee Zoom Meeting
Hon. Sarah Adwoa Safo, a member of parliament for Dome Kwabenya, has done it once more!
The MP who was supposed to meet with the Committee today via Zoom skipped the meeting for reasons best known to herself without letting the Committee know why she couldn’t attend.
According to our understanding, the committee waited for her for three hours, but she did not appear for the meeting.
The committee did not, however, come to a strong conclusion regarding her behavior or that of the other two MPs who complied with the summons to testify before the committee.
Adwoa Safo’s future is uncertain in light of her most recent decision to decline many opportunities to appear before the committee.
According to Henry Boakye-Yiadom, MP for Akwatia and member of the Privileges Committee, the committee was unable to reach a conclusion without consulting Dome Kwabenya, MP.
