Don’t expect a miracle, Peter Obi has no structure, he can’t win me – Atiku
Former Vice President and Peoples Democratic Party (2023) Presidential candidate Atiku Abubakar has stated that Peter Obi, lacks a political structure that can guarantee him victory.
He stated that Obi is expecting miracles, which are difficult to come by.
On Friday, Atiku stated this while appearing on Arise TV’s The Morning Show.
According to the former Vice President, the Labour Party’s Presidential candidate is only visible on social media and has no political structure throughout the country.
He claims that 90 percent of northerners do not use social media and that Obi’s candidacy poses no threat to his chances.
In response to a question about whether Obi poses a threat to his candidacy, Atiku stated, “I don’t expect Labour Party to make as many votes as PDP.” It could have been seen in Osun.
“They claim to have 100 million online supporters, but you saw what they scored poor in Osun.” In fact, 90 percent of our people in the North do not have access to the internet.
“There is no governor, no National Assembly members, no State House of Assembly members in the Labour Party.” And politics in this country are determined by the structure that exists at these various levels.
“Local government, state government, and national government structure.” So, expecting a miracle simply because Peter Obi is a member of the Labour Party is extremely unlikely.”
