Breaking: Soweto mass shooting leaves 15 people dead
On Sunday morning, a group of unidentified males armed with AK-47s opened fire at a bar in Soweto. Outside the township pub, 15 people were killed and 23 more were shot.
Faith Mazibuko, the MEC for Community Safety in Gauteng, said
“A few calls came in around midnight. We summoned the cops right away. Fortunately, we were able to get police to the spot. “
Just after midnight, the armed men started firing. The survivor’s aunt claims that her niece Zama was in the bathroom when the shooting took place.
“My daughter informed me that there had been a shooting at this pub. At the tavern was my niece Zama. She was lucky not to have been shot “Zanele Ngcambele said.
Nhlanhla Lux, the radical group’s leader, claims that these incidents are becoming commonplace in South Africa.
Shooting 23 individuals with powerful guns is not acceptable. Here in South Africa, it is starting to become the standard. Nhlanhla Lux Dlamini said.
