- Black Sharks of Ghana prepare for Afcon beach soccer qualifier against Egypt
- Alexander Adjei issued a warning to the North Africans.
With only a few days until the Beach Soccer Afcon Qualifier, Coach Kotey has reduced the 22 players at his disposal to his final 15 for the July 23rd first leg in Accra Newsghana report.
Alexander Adjei, one of Ghana Black Sharks’ longest-serving players, has issued a warning to the North Africans.
“Yes, Egypt are favorites because they are ranked higher than Ghana. They are the best team in North Africa and one of the leading Arab nations in beach soccer, so we respect them,” he said. But that’s about it. “We have no fear of Egypt.”
Alexander Adjei, who is aiming for his third Afcon qualification ticket after Seychelles and Nigeria, believes that the Black Sharks’ long absence from international action has made them hungry for the title.
“I told the boys right away that we have nothing to lose against the Egyptian Sand Pharoahs because everyone expects them to qualify, so we have to prove the experts wrong and play our best game ever.”
